DIY Shaker Panelling - Using a kit from Cut My

The first room we renovated in the house was the 3rd bedroom. It was the only bedroom that had something different on each wall and it only took a few days to sort out.

We ordered the Full Height Square Shaker Wall Panelling Kit - It was so easy to order. You put your measurements in and choose your desired batten width and thickenss (we went for batten thickness of 100mm and thickness of 9mm) then choose if youd liked the kit primed (this costs extra) and the decide if you want to purchase the esstenial tool kit (this kit costs an extra £69.29). However we chose not to get the essential tool kit as we already had everything from B&Q. Our kit came to £132.32 - this also included £8.29.

If your like us and get your essentials from B&Q buy more no nails than you think you'll need. I think we used more than needed due to the walls not being straight the battens fit the wall perfectly and assembling them was so easy. I would recommend having two of you as having an extra pair of hands really helps!

After waiting for the no nails to dry we then used wood filler over all the joins and caulked insinde the sqaures. After sanding the wood filler smooth we then primed the MDF and painted them.
